Daniel Ross

Historian of the city, politics, and society

About

Welcome reader! I’m a PhD candidate in history at York University. My research focuses chronologically on the 1960s and 1970s in Canada, and thematically on cities, politics, the environment and countercultures. I’m often blogging, speaking, or otherwise trying to bring an historical perspective to public discussions about those subjects. On this blog you can read about ActiveHistory.ca, learn a bit about my dissertation research on Yonge Street, check out my CV, or just browse my posts. I’m always interested in feedback from interested readers– you can reach me at dgrdgr (at) yorku.ca.
